Passo Tonale is a surprisingly large skiing area just 2 hours from Milan Bergamo. It's a perfect resort for beginners and novices but also offers a good mix of red and black runs for intermediates. The presence of the Ghiacciaio Presna glacier ensures that skiing is guaranteed should there be a warm spell.

|
And if the snow conditions are right there's off piste to be found on the glacier and through the trees down at Pontedilegno. Snowboarders are also catered for with a special play area containing jumps etc.
Passo Tonale is rarely overcrowded so no need to worry about queues and the resort lifts are never more than a few minutes walk from the hotels.
